3rd shift DRC Machine Operator

Machine Operator – 3rd Shift
We are currently looking for an experienced machine operator to work on our continuous production process line. Prior experience working in the printing, paper production or paper converting industries is helpful.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for fellow themselves and fellow members of the production team.
- Perform quality control inspections.
- Maintain quality standards for all products.
- Work as part of a team in executing functions at various work stations in the production process.
- Operate various pieces of production and support equipment; core cutter, wrapper, forklifts, baler, and large paper processing machine.
- Will be cross-trained to handle duties of any of the production positions.
- Control and document the production process.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Possess strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to deal with issues in a positive, complete manner.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Able to handle flexible work assignments.
- Prior fork lift experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products helpful.
Education and Work Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of three years prior manufacturing experience required
- Prior experience working in a continuous production process is preferred.
- Prior experience leading small team/work group preferred.
- Prior experience working in the printing, paper production or paper converting industries preferred.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Must be able to consistently work in a hot environment during the warmer months of the year.
- Position requires constant walking or standing.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to move with ease around manufacturing equipment.
- Must have an overhead reach of at least 84” while standing flat-footed.
